Does the person who signed a document have to be present in order to record it, or can someone else bring the original to the clerk's office and pay for it to be recorded without them?

A. Anybody can bring in (or send by mail) the document to be recorded as long as it is
notarized. The person who signs would have to be present to sign in front of a notary, but other than that it doesn't matter who brings it in
