How much does it cost to record a document?

A. We charge $25.00 per ten index items (NMSA 14-8-15C). 

i. Index items include: 

1. grantor(s); 

2. grantee(s); 

3. the number of properties on the document; 

4. and references to previous instrument or book and page numbers; a. Hyphenated names, AKA ("also known as"), FKA ("formerly known as"), and NKA ("now known as") are counted as 

additional index items (NMSA 14.8-15.1).
