i. Make sure that that it has a signed surveyor's certificate.
ii. If it is a BOUNDARY SURVEY, it needs either a public notice OR a notary stamp. 1. We will not record plats with electronic signatures or electronic
notaries.
iii. If the property is in the county - Santa Fe County Public Notice:
1. SANTA FE COUNTY LAND USE ADMINISTRATOR HAS NOT REVIEWED
THIS PLAT OF BOUNDARY SURVEY PRIOR TO ITS FILING IN THE OFFICE
OF THE COUNTY CLERK. THIS PLAT IS NOT TO BE FILED FOR THE PURPOSE OF CREATING LOT SPLITS, SUBDIVISIONS, OR NEW LOTS. ALTERING THE BOUNDARIES OF ANY EXISTING LOT(S) FOR THE PURPOSE OF "DEVELOPMENT" DEFINED IN THE SANTA FE COUNTY LAND
DEVELOPMENT CODE, EXTRATERRITORIAL ZONING ORDINANCE FOR EXTRATERRITORIAL SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS. THIS STATEMENT DOES
NOT IN ANY WAY STIPULATE OR REPRESENT SANTA FE COUNTY LAND
USE APPROVAL OF THIS BOUNDARY SURVEY PLAT.
iv. If the property is in the city - City of Santa Fe Public Notice:

1. THIS SURVEY IS BASED ON THOSE RECORDED DOCUMENTS NOTED
HEREON. CITY OF SANTA FE STAFF MUST APPROVE ALL DOCUMENTS
SUBMITTED WITH AN APPLICATION FOR A BUILDING PERMIT AND MAY
REQUIRE SUBMITTAL OF ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION TO PROVE
LEGAL LOT OF RECORD.
If the notary stamp is too light, smeared, or in any way illegible, we will be unable to record the plat.

vi. If it is a CDRC (Commission Planning meetings) it needs Santa Fe County Clerk
Katharine Clark's signature.
vii. Anything with a change (LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT, FAMILY TRANSFER,
AMENDMENTS, etc.) needs a notarized signature(s) - of whom?
viii. ALTA/NSPS LAND TITLE SURVEYS do not require public notice or notary stamp.
They are the exception.
ix. City Plats - County Treasurer signs off on SUBDIVISION PLATS, LOT LINE
ADJUSTMENTS, and LOT CONSOLIDATIONS.
x. CONDOMINIUM PLATS do not need a public notice or notary stamp.
xi. MONUMENTATION PLATS are recorded as "Monumentation Maps" - flat $25.00
fee.
1. DEVELOPMENT PLANS are the exception to everything stated above, but
they are recorded like a plat, just make sure they have all the signatures.
